FunFlyFPV - The Early Days of Drone Innovation
A few years ago, we were involved in drone racing at the Drone Racing Club in Atlanta. My drone handle was FunFlyFPV. We did a lot of drone innovation at the time and created over 300 videos on YouTube.
We worked with Steele Davis and Johnathan Davis, some of the most exiting and best drone pilots of the time. They helped us hone our skills and learn new techniques that we could use to create even better videos. Thanks to their help, we quickly became one of the most popular drone channels on YouTube.
The Early Days of Drone Racing
Drone racing is a relatively new sport that has only been around for a few years. When we started out, there were only a handful of people who were doing it. We quickly realized that we had to innovated if we wanted to stay ahead of the competition. We were constantly pushing the boundaries of what was possible with drones and video cameras.
One of our most popular videos was a course preview video that we shot for the Atlanta Drone Racing Club. We mounted a GoPro camera to our drone and flew it through the obstacle course at high speed. The video gave viewers a sense of what it would be like to fly through the course themselves. It was so popular that other clubs started asking us to shoot similar videos for them as well.
We had a lot of fun during our time in the drone racing scene. We met some amazing people and got to do some really cool things with our drones. We're proud to have been part of the early days of drone innovation and hope that our work inspires others to push the boundaries of what's possible with this amazing technology.
